advanced than the high octane map, then yes. If the high octane timing map and the low octane map are the same, then no. It wont.
I know this because when I found the problem, I checked to see what the timing was at full load. My high octane map specifies 27 degrees of timing advance at full load but my low octane map is only 22. I didn't notice it until last night that it was only hitting 22 degrees. This tells me it was using the low octane map and not the high octane map. This is also why it felt much slower than before.
